The tumor was the size of a 10 pound turkey. And, it had been in my neck for 11 years when I found Dr. Huang and Agape Natural Health. A large part of the reason why I am alive today is because of Dr. Huang. The other reason why I am safe and healthy today is because of my belief in the power of prayer/meditation. I went to Dr. Huang to try and see if acupuncture could stop the tumor. The treatments were able to keep the mass from growing any larger, which bought me more time. In addition to arresting the growth of the tumor, the acupuncture had a positive effect on my overall health and energy.

So why did I let this condition get to this point? My reasons are something not everyone might agree with, but it was right for me. The risks were too great, according to the doctors. One doctor went so far as to say I might not survive the incision in my neck because the mass was situated below a major artery. I opted for waiting for there to be less of a risk involved. In the meantime, I kept up with Dr. Huang’s acupuncture treatments. It slowed the growth process way down and kept my energy levels high.

Then the tumor reached a critical turning point. It was ready to come out, with or without me. As strange as it was, I knew it was a blessing. That the time was right and everything would turn out alright. And, so I made the choice to go ahead with the surgery despite the risks. Just making that decision caused a great weight to be lifted off of. However, none of the doctors that we had seen were qualified to perform the surgery, because it was beyond their capability and too risky. So they transferred me to UCI Hospital, in the hopes one of the doctors there could perform the surgery.

Within 12 hours of making the decision to go ahead with having surgery, the most wonderful doctor I’ve ever met introduced himself to me. The first word out of his mouth wasn’t about the risks involved or that it was beyond his abilities. What he said to me was, “Oh yes, this is doable, nothing to it. It should take about 5 hours. Come see me tomorrow and we will get this taken care of for you.” My prayers had been answered. I found an ENT doctor who had the expertise and skill to safely remove the tumor. It was worth waiting for. Having faith and confidence in your doctor is primary to a full recovery.

ENDOMETRIOMA & ENDOMETRIAL CYST

At the end of September, 2 rounds of week-long abdominal pain during September and October, respectively, brought me to my Dr's office. That visit prompted a CT scan, which then prompted a follow up ultrasound, and they collectively revealed a plum-sized complex cyst on an ovary. I was referred to a gynecological surgeon, who suspected the cyst to be an endometrioma accompanied by a moderate-to-high level of endometriosis. She recommended removal of the cyst and requested a CA-125 blood test that revealed moderately elevated levels that potentially indicated cancer. Upon a follow-up ultrasound, the gynecological surgeon's recommendation shifted to a removal of the entire ovary, which was overtaken by the mass, by outpatient laprascopy. From that ultrasound, however, she also felt the cyst looked more complicated than a straightforward endometrioma and requested an OVA1 blood test.  That test also revealed an elevated level that was indicative of cancer.  She then referred me to a gynecological/oncological surgeon.

In December, that oncologist recommended a hysterectomy in addition to removal of the ovary and wanted to pre-consent the removal of the other ovary, as well as additional staging/surgery deemed necessary. This was a very scary prospect and everything was happening so fast. I sought a second opinion in January from another gynecological oncological surgeon, who recommended a third ultrasound, which revealed the mass was becoming even more complex. He then recommended removal of the ovary through an outpatient laproscopic procedure, a full pathology of the mass and the excising of any endometriosis spots. I elected to follow this surgeon’s approach.

Meanwhile, I came to Dr. Huang in late November after a friend who he had healed of her migraines referred me. I started doing regular acupuncture immediately and within 3 weeks, my abdominal and related pains disappeared entirely. I did not experience any further abdominal pain or discomfort whatsoever up until the time of my surgery at the end of February. The acupuncture, along with Dr. Huang’s prayers and caring staff, helped manage intermittent pain emanating from my ovarian region, as well as my stress levels. And he helped remind me to be strong because God was at work in seeing me through this.

The surgery in February was successful – the surgeon removed the ovary with the mass, but found no endometriosis spots to excise!  The pathology of the mass revealed it to be a benign endometrial cyst!!  This is the best we could have hoped for! I am continuing acupuncture and am now taking herbs Dr. Huang recommends to help expedite the recovery process and to prevent future cysts from forming.  I am so thankful to have not been in pain, that the cyst was not cancerous, that the rest of my reproductive system remains intact and that I have no signs of endometriosis.  In short, I am thankful beyond words for the healing hand of God on my body and for Dr. Huang’s expertise, kindness, comfort and healing efforts during this process, which he does all in the name of our Jesus. I was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) 2 years ago and I have been struggling with acne and hormone problems for years. In May 2012, I was diagnosed with Colon Rectal Cancer. I was depressed and very sad when I found out the diagnosis. I had to stop working and I had weakness and nervousness. My bowel movements were abnormal and I lost more than 30 lbs in three weeks. I also had 3 operations in 3 weeks. I had a colonoscopy in June 2012. A tumor was found and it was cancerous. I had an ultrasound to find out what stage it was; it was Stage I. A second tumor was found behind it; that tumor was Stage III and it was breaking through my lymph nodes. I had one session of chemotherapy in August 2012. I also tried home remedies. I had a rectal operation to remove the cancerous tumor. I had a second operation to remove the second tumor that was going into my lymph nodes. The chemotherapy only made me weaker and more depressed and I couldn’t have radiation or more chemo due to an infection in the incision.

One of the deepest desires of my heart was to one day become a mother, it never really occurred to me that I would struggle to fulfill that desire. After trying to get pregnant for about a year, I went in to the doctor complaining of pelvic pain. I am a 69-year-old patient who has been seeking treatment at Agape Natural Health since March 2021, driving all the way from Los Angeles to Newport Beach on a weekly basis for acupuncture treatments and herbal supplements. When I first arrived at the clinic, I had been battling diabetes for 16 years and was reliant on medications to manage my condition but my blood sugar continued to trend up over the years and beginning to become out of control.

In addition, a pulmonary nodule of 1.3 cm was discovered in March 2021, adding to my serious health concerns. I had arthritic pain and very low energy and weight gain issues.  My blood pressure was also high for many years, and my A1C level was alarmingly high at 9.6.

When I was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), I was sad and knew it would be a difficult obstacle getting pregnant. My periods were irregular, and I had weight gain. It was hard for me to loose weight due to the PCOS and a slower metabolism. My MD prescribed medications. There were a lot of side effects and the medication gave me an upset stomach and nausea. Since I was 23 years old, I suffered from hypertension, which was caused by stress. Three years ago, the medical doctors discovered that I had an endocrine tumor of the pancreas.
