The tumor was the size of a 10 pound turkey. And, it had been in my neck for 11 years when I found Dr. Huang and Agape Natural Health. A large part of the reason why I am alive today is because of Dr. Huang. The other reason why I am safe and healthy today is because of my belief in the power of prayer/meditation. I went to Dr. Huang to try and see if acupuncture could stop the tumor. The treatments were able to keep the mass from growing any larger, which bought me more time. In addition to arresting the growth of the tumor, the acupuncture had a positive effect on my overall health and energy.

So why did I let this condition get to this point? My reasons are something not everyone might agree with, but it was right for me. The risks were too great, according to the doctors. One doctor went so far as to say I might not survive the incision in my neck because the mass was situated below a major artery. I opted for waiting for there to be less of a risk involved. In the meantime, I kept up with Dr. Huang’s acupuncture treatments. It slowed the growth process way down and kept my energy levels high.

Then the tumor reached a critical turning point. It was ready to come out, with or without me. As strange as it was, I knew it was a blessing. That the time was right and everything would turn out alright. And, so I made the choice to go ahead with the surgery despite the risks. Just making that decision caused a great weight to be lifted off of. However, none of the doctors that we had seen were qualified to perform the surgery, because it was beyond their capability and too risky. So they transferred me to UCI Hospital, in the hopes one of the doctors there could perform the surgery.

Within 12 hours of making the decision to go ahead with having surgery, the most wonderful doctor I’ve ever met introduced himself to me. The first word out of his mouth wasn’t about the risks involved or that it was beyond his abilities. What he said to me was, “Oh yes, this is doable, nothing to it. It should take about 5 hours. Come see me tomorrow and we will get this taken care of for you.” My prayers had been answered. I found an ENT doctor who had the expertise and skill to safely remove the tumor. It was worth waiting for. Having faith and confidence in your doctor is primary to a full recovery.

In January 2010, I was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cyst. I was devastated and very depressed. My husband had passed away from cancer in April 2009. All I could think about was my children. ENDOMETRIOMA & ENDOMETRIAL CYST

At the end of September, 2 rounds of week-long abdominal pain during September and October, respectively, brought me to my Dr's office. That visit prompted a CT scan, which then prompted a follow up ultrasound, and they collectively revealed a plum-sized complex cyst on an ovary. I was referred to a gynecological surgeon, who suspected the cyst to be an endometrioma accompanied by a moderate-to-high level of endometriosis. She recommended removal of the cyst and requested a CA-125 blood test that revealed moderately elevated levels that potentially indicated cancer. Upon a follow-up ultrasound, the gynecological surgeon's recommendation shifted to a removal of the entire ovary, which was overtaken by the mass, by outpatient laprascopy. From that ultrasound, however, she also felt the cyst looked more complicated than a straightforward endometrioma and requested an OVA1 blood test.  That test also revealed an elevated level that was indicative of cancer.  She then referred me to a gynecological/oncological surgeon.

In December, that oncologist recommended a hysterectomy in addition to removal of the ovary and wanted to pre-consent the removal of the other ovary, as well as additional staging/surgery deemed necessary. This was a very scary prospect and everything was happening so fast. I sought a second opinion in January from another gynecological oncological surgeon, who recommended a third ultrasound, which revealed the mass was becoming even more complex. He then recommended removal of the ovary through an outpatient laproscopic procedure, a full pathology of the mass and the excising of any endometriosis spots. I elected to follow this surgeon’s approach.

Meanwhile, I came to Dr. Huang in late November after a friend who he had healed of her migraines referred me. I started doing regular acupuncture immediately and within 3 weeks, my abdominal and related pains disappeared entirely. I did not experience any further abdominal pain or discomfort whatsoever up until the time of my surgery at the end of February. The acupuncture, along with Dr. Huang’s prayers and caring staff, helped manage intermittent pain emanating from my ovarian region, as well as my stress levels. And he helped remind me to be strong because God was at work in seeing me through this.

The surgery in February was successful – the surgeon removed the ovary with the mass, but found no endometriosis spots to excise!  The pathology of the mass revealed it to be a benign endometrial cyst!!  This is the best we could have hoped for! I am continuing acupuncture and am now taking herbs Dr. Huang recommends to help expedite the recovery process and to prevent future cysts from forming.  I am so thankful to have not been in pain, that the cyst was not cancerous, that the rest of my reproductive system remains intact and that I have no signs of endometriosis.  In short, I am thankful beyond words for the healing hand of God on my body and for Dr. Huang’s expertise, kindness, comfort and healing efforts during this process, which he does all in the name of our Jesus. Dear Dr. Huang,

Good Afternoon to you!  I trust all is well with you and your staff.  I just wanted to take a moment of reflection with you and thank you for the amazing care and treatment that your Clinic has been to me.

As you recall, last June 2017, I was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in my colon.  Subsequent tests that month, showed all sorts of problems with my body and blood tests confirmed that I had a genetic defect in my colon. My Colonoscopy back in June showed around 60 to 70 polyps. 

Thru a myriad of tests, everything came back clear except the cancer in my colon.

I came to your clinic in August of 2017 and you were quick to start a combination therapy of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs right away. Sept 2017 had me in the operating room to remove the cancer and surrounding tissue and I was out of the hospital in 6 days.  At that time, I was diagnosed with Stage 3A Colon Cancer and needed to start chemotherapy right away.

Through the next 7 months of healing and chemo, the Therapy that Agape Acupuncture provided through your clinic was just great in getting me thru that troubling experience.  I still remember being told by the doctors that my blood platelets were to low and I would need a blood transfusion. You were quick to add more Chinese Herbs, directed at that deficiency and within 1 week, my platelets zoomed up, so that I didn’t need a transfusion. That was a huge “sigh of relief”.

Thru the months of pain, sickness and fears, the prayers that you provide each time that I was in your office, were just soothing to the soul as the rest of the treatment was to my body.  

As the months went on, you and your staff were just amazing in handling my chemo and your therapy at the same time. I remember all those days, where there were tubes coming out of my arm, filled with Chemo, and your staff never made fun of me and they always treated me with dignity and respect.  

My Chemotherapy ended in Mid-March of 2018, and I have continued with my Acupuncture and Chinese herbs, now dealing with the post-chemo side effects.

2 Subsequent blood tests and body scans show my body is returning to normal.  And there are lingering effects of Chemotherapy that will go away over time.

I am so thankful that God brought us together, you as the doctor and me as the patient.  It has been an amazing ride.

The Saga Continues…. Updated 01-30-2019

Since writing the above testimonial back in June 2018, I have continued to see Dr. Huang and receive acupuncture treatments (weekly) and continuing the Chinese Herbs regiment (daily).  Every 3 months via Kaiser Permanente Health Care, I go thru a battery of blood tests, that are measuring all sorts of aspects on the health of my blood.  All subsequent blood tests so far, have seen my blood levels come back to normal.  The BIGGEST test for cancer is the Carcinoembryonic Antigen (CEA) test.  It is a blood test used to help diagnose and manage certain types of colon cancers.  These scores have all be in the acceptable range as well.  This is the blood test that keeps me up at night, so far, so good!

I was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) 2 years ago and I have been struggling with acne and hormone problems for years. I had depression, fatigue, hair loss and my cycle was 19 days instead of 28 days. I had loss of sleep, weight loss, high testosterone (androgen) and an ovarian cyst burst. PANCREATIC CANCER STAGE 3 METASTASIZED TO LIVER | BELIEVE IT OR NOT

In August 2010, I was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and it spread to my liver. In September 2010 I had surgery to remove the tumor. My eyes were yellow. I felt like I was hit by a train at 200 mph and this illness changed my life completely. It affected my state of mind knowing that the outcome for 95% of the people with this same disease die within the first year. I was a very active person with interests for doing different things. It was like someone came and extinguished my light for life. I no longer had an interest to keep going forward. In October 2010 I had Whipple surgery (also known as pancreaticoduodenectomy - this procedure involves removal of the head of the pancreas next to the first part of the small intestine. It also involves removal of the duodenum, a portion of the common bile duct, gallbladder, and a portion of the stomach. Surgeons then reconnect the remaining intestine, bile duct, and pancreas.) From April 2011 – August 2012 I was put on chemotherapy. The side effects from Chemotherapy were numbness in my feet, nausea, and sores in my mouth. It was really bad and painful. The Chemotherapy was supposed to wipe out the tumor but it grew.

Two years ago, I came to see Dr. Kevin Huang. But I was skeptical and didn’t trust natural medicine, so I decided to do the Whipple surgery and Chemotherapy instead. The drugs and surgeries failed and my cancer went from Stage 1 to Stage 3 and it spread to the liver. From May 2012 to August 2012, CT Scan report and scientific instruments showed that the tumor grew, and it was now attached to the artery. The tumor was life-threatening and inoperable. On August 23, 2012, I decided to come back to Dr. Huang and start acupuncture treatments and herbs. I came because I knew someone with a tumor in her pancreas and she had received acupuncture and her tumor shrank 17 ml. I stopped Chemotherapy completely and was on natural medicine only from August 2012 to October 2012. During the treatments, Dr. Huang was very supportive through his knowledge and so was the medical staff at Agape Acupuncture, Inc. However, I remained skeptical and negative about recovery because this disease is very silent. I thought for sure I was getting worse and going to die. Dr. Huang told me to base things on fact and not on feeling and to wait for the next CT Scan and lab tests.

On October 30, 2012, my new CT Scan report and scientific instruments confirmed that my tumor shrank nearly 50% one dimension one side. It went from 37mm to 20mm from August 15, 2012 to October 12, 2012. The UCI Oncologist Chief Surgeon confirmed that the tumor shrank and it separated from the artery. Now there is an option for surgery and there are no new lesions. Seeing the results on paper that my tumor had shrank brought me comfort and my state of mind was renewed somewhat. My tumor is not completely gone but I feel I am on the right path. The fact that my tumor has shrunk has been the best news since my diagnosis.

I wasn’t a firm believer in natural medicine before coming here and I wasn’t sure that acupuncture would help. I see light at the end of the tunnel. Natural medicine helped reduce my tumor. The evidence is the proof. I have more energy and I lost weight. My friends and loved ones are happy for me, and I have already referred someone to Agape Acupuncture. I didn’t expect these results but I cannot deny what natural medicine can do. It has been around for over 2,000 years. You have to come here with faith and give it a try. STAGE 3 COLON RECTAL CANCER

“I WENT TO GET A CT SCAN WHICH CAME BACK NEGATIVE AND BLOOD WORK SHOWED NO SIGNS OF CANCER.”

In May 2012, I was diagnosed with Colon Rectal Cancer. I was depressed and very sad when I found out the diagnosis. I had to stop working and I had weakness and nervousness. My bowel movements were abnormal and I lost more than 30 lbs in three weeks. I also had 3 operations in 3 weeks. I had a colonoscopy in June 2012. A tumor was found and it was cancerous. I had an ultrasound to find out what stage it was; it was Stage I. A second tumor was found behind it; that tumor was Stage III and it was breaking through my lymph nodes. I had one session of chemotherapy in August 2012. I also tried home remedies. I had a rectal operation to remove the cancerous tumor. I had a second operation to remove the second tumor that was going into my lymph nodes. The chemotherapy only made me weaker and more depressed and I couldn’t have radiation or more chemo due to an infection in the incision.

I started coming to Agape Acupuncture, Inc. in July 30, 2012. My wife saw the clinic on the internet and we read some of the testimonies of how it helped other people. WOW! There were a lot of patients; I met the staff and saw that they were polite and caring. I wanted to get stronger and for my cancer to go away. My family and friends were very supportive. One of the deepest desires of my heart was to one day become a mother, it never really occurred to me that I would struggle to fulfill that desire. After trying to get pregnant for about a year, I went in to the doctor complaining of pelvic pain. A transvaginal ultrasound was performed and that's when I saw them- clusters of cysts showed up on the screen and as the doctor was explaining to me that I had a condition called PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). I remember tears started welling up when she told me it may be a challenge to get pregnant and with some women, it can cause infertility altogether. I was put on Metformin and a couple months later, started gearing up to get on fertility medication (Clomid). When I was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), I was sad and knew it would be a difficult obstacle getting pregnant. My periods were irregular, and I had weight gain. It was hard for me to loose weight due to the PCOS and a slower metabolism. My MD prescribed Clomid and Metformin. There were a lot of side effects and the Metformin gave me an upset stomach and nausea. I was also stressed and tired. Because I was not able to conceive easily, I also had an IUI (Intrauterine Insemination). Neither of these treatments were successful prior to coming here.

Two of mine friends came to Agape Natural Health, and they had positive results so they recommended me. I was not a firm believer in natural medicine, but I was always interested in it and my friends encouraged me. I wanted to conceive and have a healthy natural pregnancy and a healthy body. After a few treatments I felt more energy and relaxed. I ate healthier and had fewer headaches. Dr. Huang changed my diet so I was more aware of eating healthier. My body improved! I came here a few times and then decided to try the IUI again after my body was stronger, and I had a normal pregnancy.
